Madge van der Meer

Madge was de echtgenote van Wybe Jelles van der Meer junior. Ze werd geboren in Chicago, deed haar bachelor of Arts op de American University in Washington DC. Ze werkte  samen met haar man voor wie ze een aantal boeken van illustraties voorzag. Een van haar schilderijen hangt in het Smithsonian in Washington DC. Madge E. van der Meer, 88, Parkville, MO passed away Dec. 12, 2012 at the NorthCare Hospice House. She was born June 30, 1924 to Robert and Ester (Lackey) Erving in Chicago IL. 

Madge received her bachelors of Arts degree from American University in Washington D.C. She was an artist, and enjoyed fine art painting. Madge has a painting in the Smithsonian museum in Washington D.C. She loved dogs and contributed to the Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah.

Madge is preceded in death by her husband, Wybe Jelles van der Meer.; and her parents. Survivors include son Wybe J. “Jay” van der Meer and wife Valerie of Parkville, MO; daughter Karen Norman and husband Chris of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren Anita Paulson and husband Tim of Boulder CO, Joey Mireles and wife Ginnie of Belton, MO, and Annalis Norman of Fort Collins, CO.

A private family graveside service and burial of the cremated remains will take place in Kerrville, TX. The Meyers Funeral Chapel in Parkville has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
